ZYEM’s Lead Designer, Monique (Mo) Glover is a NYC based fashion designer with two decades of industry experience designing for emerging womenswear and children’s retail brands. After giving birth to her son Zyem, she launched her own label bearing his name, ZYEM NYC. Coming of age in Brooklyn and traveling across the globe, her son and his friends inspire the inclusive street style showcased in her work.
Glover began honing her creative skills as an art student at LaGuardia High School of Music & Performing Arts and earned a BFA in Fashion at Pratt Institute. Young models and style influencers wearing ZYEMtm apparel appear on RollingOut.com and various publications covering Essence Magazine’s Street Style Block Party in 2017 and 2018. She has also contributed costume design for photography brand Toddlewood’s homages to the Met Gala, September 2018 diverse fashion magazine covers and Black Panther movie poster. Since 2017, her ZYEM NYCtm runway collections for men, women and children have premiered at Fashion Week Brooklyn, with Mo Glover co-producing the children’s program in 2020, 2021, and April 2022.
